Praying for the Kingdoms of this world

It is important to note that prayer must be a life of a Christian. Prayer must be in the beginning and the last of everything that a Christian is doing. Prayer is talking to God. It brings blessing, power, authority and victory in everything we do in life.

The kingdoms of this world belong to our God. He is the one who set them. It is worth noting that the devil does not have a kingdom because he is not a king. The devil may only have a domain. Some bible scholars and writers may refer  him as a king of this world but he is not. There is only one King ,Jesus Christ, and Jehovah God. Psalm_47:7  For God is the King of all the earth: Sing ye praises with understanding. In psalms 24:1 David says ‘’the earth is Jehovah's, and the fulness thereof; The world, and they that dwell therein. ’ This means: him. God has the full ownership of the world and everything that dwell in all the creation belongs to

He is the one who set all the borders of the earth and seasons according to the location of those countries and hemispheres that is found in Psalms.74:17 ‘'Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: Thou hast made summer and winter.’’

In the countries God puts Kingdoms which means he sets authorities and power over those countries. These kingdoms must sing unto God. They must give praises unto God. This is found in the following verses;

  • Psalm_68:32 Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; Oh sing praises unto the Lord; Selah.
  • Psalm 66:4 All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.

All those who are in authority must give praises unto God.

A Thief

The devil is referred as a thief in the bible. The devil steals what belong to God. He deceives and lead the kingdoms of the world astray and make them his. He is masquerading  as king and yet he is not.

John 10:10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Since the devil has stolen and caused confusion to what belongs to God, we prayer warriors must stand up. We are an army who claim back the set-up of God. We need those who will intercede with understanding what God’s plan and purpose is. Jesus said, this is how you will pray.“Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth.’’Mat.6:10.

In Exodus 22:7 the bible tells us that if anyone has unlawfully taken something from someone, he must bring it back double. ‘’If a man shall deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep, and it be stolen out of the man's house; if the thief be found, let him pay double. ‘’

We also get this from the book of Luke 19: 8, where Zacchaeus understood the law of double payment. He went on to pay another double to show repentance. He paid four times. Luke 19:8  And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken anything from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.

(Luke 19:9)  And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.

  • This is the time of restoration.
  • It is a payback time with interest.
  • We intercede to bring back the will of God.
  • We must always stay connected to God.
  • We must always listen to the Holy Spirit who knows the heart of God.
  • As intercessors we bring all kingdoms and nations of the world to God.
  • We intercede for all men we do not choose, but we intercede for them all.

In 1Timothy2:1-5 from Paul, reads thus.

  • (1Ti 2:1)  I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, am made for all men;
  • (1Ti 2:2)  For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty
  • (1Ti 2:3)  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
  • (1Ti 2:4)  Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
  • (1Ti 2:5)  For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

The Lord’s Intercession and Groaning.

There are times when we go deeper in our prayers, the spirits of God makes intercession for us with groaning, that is where we utter no words, but the spirit does it on our behalf. We find this in:

  • Rom_8:26  Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
  • Rom_8:27  And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
  • In verse 34 of Romans 8,also we see Jesus on the right hand of the Father interceding for us.‘’  Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. ‘’
  • After finished praying, we give thanks to God. Philippians 4:6
  • Php_4:6 "Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. ‘’

Brethren, Your Excellences, we must pray with perseverance. We are over-comers. We are called to bring nations and kingdoms of this world to the plan, Purpose and the will of God. We are called to exercise Jeremiah 1:9 – 10 and 1 Samuel 30: 8

  • Jer 1:9  Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.
  • Jer 1:10  See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.
  • 1Sa 30:8 And David inquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.

Thank you.

May God bless you.
